UTRGV has campus and off-campus research and teaching facilities throughout the Rio Grande Valley including the three major cities of Browsville, Edinburg, and Harlingen.

Center of Advanced Manufacturing Innovation and Cyber Systems (CAMICS)
Located in the EASFC Building, this state-of-the-art Additive Manufacturing Facility supports defense manufacturing, renewable energy, manufacturing research, and rapid prototyping.

Cyber Security Research Lab (CSRL)
Located in the Enineering (EENGR) Building, this laboratory is equipped with workstations, routers, switches, and more for research and training purposes. This laboratory can comfortably house 10 research students and staff.

Department of Health & Biomedical Sciences (DHBS)
Located in the Health Affairs Building West (EHABW) in Edinburg and the Biomedical Research & Health Building (BBRHB) in Brownsville. The Department of Heath & Biomedical Sciences has multiple ongoing research projects across both campuses.

Machine Intelligence Lab (MI@UTRGV)
Located in the Interdisciplinary Engineering & Academic Building (EIEAB), this laboratory is equipped with an array of GPU workstations and can accommodate 20 research students.

Advanced Nanoscience Lab (Nanoscience)
Located in the Science, Engineering & Technology Building (BSETB), it is made up of 3 laboratories with a combined space of 3000 sq. ft.. Each laboratory is equipped with 10 workstations and general laboratory instruments and materials for fabricating and testing of nanoparticles.

Center of Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Advancement (SARA)
Distributed throught the Rio Grande Valley, SARA has 5 research-and-demonstration sites including Brownsville Campus Watershed Garden, Edinburg Campus Research and Community Garden, and Terra Preta Organic Research and Demonstration Site.
